Ground Zero: Urban Ruin

In The Wall Street Journal on Friday September 12 -- one day following the two-year anniversary of the gruesome terrorist attacks on New York -- Daniel Henninger in an opinion piece titled, "Make Permanent The Stark Ruin of September 11," described the powerful imagery of the massive and blank terrain that once hosted millions of square feet of office and retail space and that daily filled with tens of thousands of people. He also suggested that we consider leaving the construction site at Ground Zero unbuilt.
